How Bio Ice Cream Dots turned pitch meetings with U.S. retail buyers into smiles and yeses

A Poland-based team breaking into the U.S. market didn't have the time or a marketing hire to produce video. Hypernatural gave Bio Ice Cream Dots two videos that landed with retail buyers across the country, exactly as pitched.

Overview

Bio Ice Cream Dots makes an organic, allergy-conscious alternative to cryogenic ice cream dots, a healthier take on a category American consumers already know and love. As a consumer packaged goods (CPG) brand based in Poland and run by a small team splitting business development, production, and the science behind the recipes, the company has been taking that pitch to retail buyers across the U.S., with meetings in Southern California next.

The challenge

With just a couple of people running the whole company, there was no one to own content, and no time to learn a new production skill. Pitching U.S. retail buyers meant showing what makes the product different, fast, without adding a hire or a production process they'd have to babysit.

The solution

For a founder short on time, video needed to work without becoming a second job. Hypernatural produced two videos built for two different audiences: one imagining a child's rainbow-colored fantasy world around the product, the other playful and direct for a Gen Z audience.

Instead of describing the product's uniqueness to buyers and supporters, Bio Ice Cream Dots can now just show it, and the vision comes through on its own.

“The videos were exactly how I would have done them myself, if I had the tools and knowledge. It was a smooth process, and I didn't want any changes from the creative side.”
Małgorzata Osiecka-Ciuhak, Co-Founder, Bio Ice Cream Dots

The result

The videos are already in the pitch deck for retail buyer meetings across the U.S., where they've landed well. With Southern California retail meetings next, they're going back in front of buyers, giving the team a way to bring the brand's personality into a room, not just its packaging.

The confidence has carried over to social media, too: Bio Ice Cream Dots hadn't launched Instagram yet, but now has a clear content plan and a reason to finally hit publish.

Looking ahead

Bio Ice Cream Dots plans to bring the videos to Instagram soon, alongside product photography, as it keeps taking the brand in front of retailers and supporters.

“I would definitely recommend Hypernatural if you have a product that is very original, and you need to show consumers or retailers its uniqueness. Some people don't have imagination, so it's easier to show a video than to describe something.”
Małgorzata Osiecka-Ciuhak, Co-Founder, Bio Ice Cream Dots
